Si tu utilises ses ports pour alimenter la mobo essaie de répartir les charges

les 24 pins et 8 pins sont fixes, pas modulaires.

tu as déjà regardé les tensions avec un seul CPU?

en effet. j'ai mes 3 câbles qui sont dans la même gaine, non détachable.

mais c'est une bonne piste. Je pense que l'alim doit être en cause.

comment je peux vérifier les tensions ?

dans le bios dans Hardware monitor ou équivalent.

Il y a des chances que ton alim me délivre pas assez d'A sur la prise dédié, du fait qu'elle ne soit pas prévu pour un serveur. J'ai eu le cas une fois sur un bi Xeon de même génération. Normalement cela ne devait pas poser de problème mais ça me bootais pas avec les 2 CPU. J'ai arrangé le problème en y mettant une alimentation plus puissante - passant d'une 450w à une 650w (Antec à Seasonic) juste pour le teste et cela à fonctionné. Après, j'ai juste commandé une alim pour serveur de type redondante et c'était parfait.
Effectivement si tu pouvait essayer avec une plus puissante, ça serait top! C'est sur que ça ne consomme pas autant, mais ta carte mère à besoin d'un certain A pour démarrer avec 2 CPU, par sécurité.

I have similar problem with TYAN GT24 serwer with S2912 board. I updated BIOS to ver 5.01, it posts with just one 2435 processor and don't post with 2 processors. The original PS is used, 4pin power socket is empty originally. I tried to feed it with power from MOLEX plug but it didn't help. I also tried another PS ATX 2.3 500W with 24+8+4 feeded but behaviour was the same.

Any idea ??

here is official answer from TYAN. I have a feeling that none of them is working with 2 six cores. TDP of 2435 is lower then 2378 what im using.
Then I asked why exactly S2912 non e don't support Istambul but he didn't reply. Comparing booting sequence clearly it is stopped by BIOS.

I have a few old TYAN serwers GT24 with S2912 and S2912e boards. For all those servers I updated BIOS to ver 5.01 and CPUs to OPTERON 2435
as per support list of CPUs from TYAN site and tried to boot. Unfortunately it is only possible to boot with one CPU, with 2 CPUs there is a post code
86-87-FF. Are you aware of any problems of booting those servers with 2 six core OPTERONs ??

The S2912 cannot support AMD Opteron 2435 CPU.

If you are using two AMD Opteron 2435 CPU and S2912-E motherboard. Please help to ensure these two CPU are in same stepping. And check is there any bent-pin issue the second CPU socket. Also please help to understand the S2912 was end of life for years. There’s no more resource to provide technical support or BIOS update.

in this review s2915e with NVIDIA 3600 worke great on 2x six core. Guy pays attention to EPS power supply. Hmmm I feeded empty 4pin port from MOLEX and also tried ATX 2.3 very good PS for all 8+4 pin....who knows...if i will get any i will try
