Je ne sais même pas si les Hobbits existent au deuxième âge...

"I don't think there should be Hobbits in the show at all, but considering that in-universe the first contacts the Dunedain had with them was when they entered the Eriador it is more than likely that Numenorean explorers and colonists never saw any, primarily because Numenoreans in SA kept mostly to the coastlands and never went far inland beyond Enedwaith and Minhiriath and lands that later became part of Gondor (Pelargir was major colony in that area along with precursor for Dol Amroth, not yet named that way, in Belfalas) and lands further south. It is suggested that Hobbits origins like all other races are derived from Elder Days, the First Age (very probably considering that Hobbit race is offshoot of the humanity subset), like all races before Hobbits eventually migrated west, but their origin place, like Elves and first examples of mankind was most likely somewhere to the east, it is possible that Hobbits may have simply still lived somewhere around lands of Rhun in SA, before migrating into Rhovanion in early Third Age, since the first documented mention of the Hobbits is around year 1050 of Third Age when the first Harfoots are coming to Eriador fleeing the darkness of Mirkwood and hostile Men (as mentioned in Of Dwarves and Men)."
